Maybe the whole car should look more like the E46 M3, it's more agressive looking than this one Last edited by Joop!; 02-21-2007 at 02:51 PM.. |

Agree, E46 M3 mirrors are outstanding, supurb styling, can`t get any better IMO.
Yeah, the E46 M3 looks more agressive, more compact, the E92 M3 looks modern allwright, but also a little bit big, styling is questionable IMO, but I`m sure the new engine is gonna make it up |

So we have the perfect M3: E46 M3 bodyshell with E92 M3 drivetrain (engine, transmission, driveshafts, LS differential) and chassis

That front bumper has got to go...It ruins the agressiveness of the car. They should use something similar to the M5 bumper, I just think that's plain ugly with that bumper especially with the side shots too. This front bumper suits the car much better... Than this... |

Exactly
This comparison picture sums it up perfectly! E92 M3 compared to E46 M3 is exactly like E46 M3 compared to E36 M3 in terms of modern/aggressive/dated/etc (power and technology as well). I know it takes a wee bit of warming up to but once released everyone will be drooling for it, just like E46. Don't misinterpret my take on things: I am a big fan (not fanboy!) of all M3's including E30. Each has their own pluses and minues but each IMO > previous.

They were derived from the M5 rims, they're 5-series Sport rims.

time to let it go out with honour it will start looking very old once more e92s hit the street.... when I parked my M next to a 335i for a test drive i noticed this for sure. also you could really see what a good job BM done with evolving the shape. it has also been stated bangles cars are designed "before there time". hence they grow on you. |

------------- EXACTLY!! I completely agree with you. Time will soon tell. If the car looks like that photoshop of the guy cruising along the water, I am COMPLETELY sold. I mean, c'mon, that thing is BEAUTIFULLY MEAN looking. Ugggh, BMW has to agree right!? P.S. Swamp and company, have fun in Geneva. That's solid that you guys will be there in person. |

That's unfortunate. Wherever they end up putting the license plate, I hope it looks good. It seems silly to redesign the rear trunk just to force the plate into a smaller area so you can have a flat expanse void of any character between the rear tail lights.
