Price Check on a new 2008 e92 leftover
I'm looking at an IB 6MT 2008 e92 leftover, the car has premium pkg, tech pkg, moon roof , heated seats, and enhanced sound
dealer wants 55,000 I was thinking closer to 50 maybe 49? any chance they can bump the warranty up to 6yr/ 100k even if new? Any input appreciated. thanks. |

u want them to sell the car for 50 and bump the warranty?
they will definently not bump the warranty and i would suggest you check to make sure the car does not already have a running warranty because it would have been punched already for the 7500 trunk money.. but 50 is of course a great deal for it

"Punch" means the dealership reported the car to BMW NA as "sold" or "demo-ed"
Most likely 99% of 08 M3s are punched because dealership would collect 7500 trunk money to minimize their lose. Most of case, you can buy at invoice -7500 (trunk money). There are 2 different "punched" M3s are in dealerships. Demo car- warranty started on the date they punched. Speciality Demo car- Car is punched but warranty doesn't start until car is actually sold to the buyer.

No, that's a great price, and new '08s are getting impossible to find. Why would you care if it is "punched" if the car has never been titled and the warranty starts on the day you sign the sales contract? You can't come close to that price on an '09.

Not in my case. The car had 130 miles, and the in-service and warranty date is listed as the date of my sales contract. If you read a few posts up, apparently there are two types of "punched."

I purchased a fully-optioned (except extended leather) 6MT '08 E93 (non-punched) in March for $61.5K. I was also told 65K was the bottom line, but it wasn't.

Good, that makes sense, with 4 additional months of depreciation.

i dont know why you would get a new 08'./...it makes completely no sense at all.
In no time it will be 2010 and it will be 2 years old and depreciate even more... If you looking for an 08 i think you should definately buy a used 08 for 46-48k, atleast this way you wont lose much in dep. |

I just bought mine out the door with almost every option used for 46k in the DFW area. Guy that owned it before me had it for one year and took a 28k hit on the trade in.
