Couple of Questions regarding the BBS-LM Wheels;

Looking at a set of 19" 8.5" with 17mm offset and 10" rears with 25mm offset.

Will these need spacers to fit my E92 Coupe?
What tire sizes will look the best? I don't plan on lowering the car. How wide can I comfortably get away with?

The fronts you should be fine, rears would use a good 10mm spacers for flush fitment.

TR recommended front is fine 245/35. Rear should be 275/35 or 285/30 for a nicer fit

I'd try using a 5mm spacer in the rears first. My Advan RS 19x10 +20 is perfect offsets for the rear IMO. Also, I'd recommend 285/35/19 instead of 285/30/19 for a more aggressive look and to help make the speedo more accurate

To give you an idea this is a 19x10 + 20 (with 5mm spacers = +15 offset) and a 285/30 tire that I previously had on my car.

That set of wheels I listed above I am able to get all four in mint condition, no road rash, etc... I can get them for a very good price of under 2000usd once it is all said and done . I wanted 20's in the LM's but really don't want to spend 6 grand. I know I am going to have to buy new rubber but think for the money that the deal is to good to pass by. I like the ride of my current 19's and our roads up here can be pretty rough with pot holes etc... Extra rubber is probably a good idea over pure esthetics. Thought?? Should I do it?

"set of 19" BBS LM wheels for the E60 M5. The wheels are staggered set up, front is 8.5" width w/ 17mm offset, and rear is 10" width w/ 25mm offset. The wheels is off of a 2008 M5, it has been on the car for about a year, about 6000 miles on them. They are in great condition, no scratch no dent no nick, no damage of any sort, not out of round, does not have any problems with them, it's washed regularly and properly.

The wheels are mounted on Michelin Pilot Sport tires, those are the 1st set of rubber on those wheels, so it has 6000 miles on tires, there is still decent trend left, probably good for another few thousand miles. The tire size is 255/40 on the front and 285/35 on the rear. The wheels will be shipped with the tires mounted, unless you otherwise request me to dis-mount the tires."

Yes, that car is lowered with H&R springs plus the rims are 1 inch wider F/R than yours. Your front offset +17 vs his +32 will make up some of the front width difference but the rears are the same +25offset.

I doubt you will like the look without the car being lowered.

When you say you doubt that I will like them unless the car is lowered is that because the design will make them look smaller than how the oem 19's currently appear on the car?

I have to make my decision no later than today so any further insight would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this recent posting for sale and they are both around the same price. The BBS-LM's would be about 400 cheaper when it is all said and done. Would these mesh wheels look better in 19's on my car?

yes, it has to do with the lip (or step lip in BBS) that makes these 19's look smaller than rims that come out to the edge (ie no lip, OEM 19). I recall in the picture forum there is an LM-R w/19's not dropped, blue porsche in the photo as well. See if you can find it, that will be a good reference for you.

H&R Spacers has been used on track for years...

BBS sells spacers with some of their wheels. I would think that they know a thing or two about the safety of using spacers. Porsche sells spacers as an OEM option. I think they are safe as longs as they are installed correctly with the appropriate length lugs.

The only way to run into problems with spacers is if you 1) Dont buy quality spacers, example RE, H&R's, Macht Shnell r pretty good too
or 2) u dont have the right lug sizes for the spacers. If u have the correct sizes and quality spacers then it will do nothing but make ur car handle slightly better. Might not even be noticeable nut the wider track is usually goodn for the car.

They are perfect "out of the box" fitment by BBS. They actually tag the fronts are being tuner fitment but they are perfect and you should have no issues with them.

With the rears, we like putting on a 5mm spacer as they really makes the stance from the rear. beefy and muscular.

As long as you use quality spacers like H&R and Macht Schnell, which are hub centric, then you are fine. I highly do not recommend using flat spacers.
Also, the thing with spacers is you should inspect them regularly to make sure that they are in proper working condition, much like a lot of the other parts on your car. We also supply original BBS spacers for BBS wheels, a lot of the times, but they are a little more expensive than others.

As for tire, we like going with the stock size as TR recommended or a wider 285/30-19 on the rear. We have also tried 285/35-19 but it seems a little FAT and dome customer dont seem to like that. Looks good if you get something fatter in the front as well, like a 255/35-19. but on the 8.5 " width, the 245/35 is ideal.
