Is the M3 E92 a logical step up?
Hi All,
My last two cars have been a VW Anniversary 1.8T (180) and most recently my 2007 Audi S3. Im looking for a new car and the M3 is what all roads lead to. Is this the right move in your opinion? Or too much? Thanks |

I followed a similar route to you. Civic Type R to 2007 Audi S3 to 2007 M3. To say the M3 is in a different league is putting it mildly! The S3 was a pretty good car, but I found I got very bored with it rather quickly. Ive had the M3 for about 6 months now and still look forward to every journey in it. I find the M3 does everything brilliantly. I can cruise along in comfort mode with the stereo on totally relaxed, or I can hit the mute button, drop the window and grin like a loon as I listen to the V8 scream past 8500rpm. The only time I missed the S3 was during the spell of cold weather at the start of the year. The M3 really is useless on snow/ ice, whereas the S3 coped easily with any winter weather. To sum up I would say I liked the S3, but I LOVE the M3! Make the change you wont regret it
