SpecC Detailed : LTBMW Mobile
This car was in wayyyy better condition than I ever imagined possible. Pictures will show later. Car belongs to Andy@LTBMW
Paint correction was pretty fun with this car excluding the backbreaking labor part. There were hardly any swirls at all. Most of it went away with Meguiar's M205 and DD uber green pad. Some required PO203S and green pad. Some random RDS were around too. After 2 passes of DD uber yellow and M105, I stopped chasing some of those. Since it was sunny out, I burned my eyeballs trying to look for swirls on a SILVER car. I thought it'd be worse, but this is almost perfect as it is. Man, that previous detailer really did a good job! First time doing an entire car with the Gloss-it backing plate too. I'd say this performs just as well as the 3M one. The 3" one really wasn't necessary in my opinion, but it was really nice to have. Wash&Dry CG CWG Failed foam cannon - it needed cleaning apparently. DD uber wash sponge Zymol sponges Detailedimage waffle weave drying towel Majestic solutions super green stuff - on trim and tight areas ONR - on door shuts Clay Zymol clay - half my bar was gone ONR clay lube 91% isopropyl alcohol Paint correction Meguiar's M105 + DD Uber Yellow 5.5" pad - Spot polishing for random deep scratches Meguiar's M205 + DD Uber Green 5.5" and 4" pads Menzerna PO203S + DD Uber green 5.5" and 4" Menzerna PO85RD + DD Ube blue 5.5" and 4" Gloss-it 5" and 3" backing plates Makita 9227c Engine bay+Under the hood Majestic solutions super green stuff 3:1 Swissvax wheel brush ONR Swissvax Pneu Old cut up zymol sponge as applicator Wheels and Tires Majestic solutions super green stuff - Tires P21S Wheel Gel DD Spoke Brush Swissvax Wheel brush Crappy pep boys tire brush Gloss-it tire dressing M205 by hand on the lips DG601 + 105 sealant Trim and other rubber Swissvax Pneu - pretty decent for a trim dressing. I would like it glossier, but the owner thought something like Black WOW was greasy. Exhaust tips 0000 steel wool ONR Majestic solutions super green stuff P21S polishing soap Sealant and Wax DG601 DG105 Zymol Vintage Gloss-it gloss enhancer Yes, this car got some VINTAGE! PICTORS Wheel gel workin it Worked! I don't know what I'd do without super green stuff. I don't think these have ever been cleaned until now. Clay bar used on a few panels vs new clay. The mighty CLAY DESTROYER Destroyed Now let's go swirl hunting. Do your eyeballs hurt as much as mine do? :thud: Polish - 4 Car - 0 Eyeballs - -1 This was the only real thing wrong with the car. FIXED Pre LSP champ pics Now how about that Gloss it tire dressing? Before DONE! Sun pictures later. I think I like it better than Pneu! Exhaust tips being awesomeized AWESOME I think this bad boy is ready to go outside now. Door shuts outside. Pneu moonlighting as trim dressing. Even the wipers got some Pneu. Pneu in the engine bay too?! That Pneu is a slut! Gotta rep his pimp in the engine bay. Zymol vintage ON Gloss-it tire shine outside It's a tad glossier than Pneu which is what I really like about it. Now how about some of these wheels? FULL BODY SHOTS! YEAH M3 Mirrors P21S polishing soap working magic. And finally, some Vintage beading shots. Enjoy! c&c always welcome Last edited by SpecC; 09-28-2009 at 05:42 PM.. |
