335 "d" means diesel? Then I suppose its a OK gain. I really don't follow diesels at all.

Nice for you friend, and yes, that GPower SC does seem like a beast of a kit.

Yes, 335d 286hp means the 335d with stock 286hp. If you click on it you will see the specs of the ESS tuning software which gives you 335hp.

ESS 335i software is still in R&D, but I have some rough power estimates from them :

Stage 1 360hp
Stage 2 380hp
Stage 3 400hp (with upgraded IC)

not worth it IMO. I gotta ship them my engine?? 40K? Just to get it to 635HP? Also the engine cover looks like ass.

Just to get 635? Anyway, your right that it would be a mess to send the engine back and forth all the way to Europe and would certainly add to the cost. As for the orange GPower cover, for $40K plus shipping etc... I am fairly certian you can change the color to whatever you want. lol!

They certainly are, only problem is they just got there M3 while European tunners got their's late last year, but they will come around. It'll probably be early next year and probably considerably less expensive than $40K and IMO will make a tad over 510, after that perhaps a system with low compression pistons and rods to make around 580-630 hp. Problem with using forced induction in a high compression chamber is that you can't run much boost unless you change the internals.

In fact, G-Power offers 3 super-charged tuning stages. If you don't change your engine internals, they must run lower boost of around 0.35 BAR, install an air-to-air intercooler and piping, ECU and exhuast to get about 525bhp DIN and 368 lb-ft. This makes total sense to me and is probably more less the area where you could expect other FI kits to be in terms of performance.

I don't want to sound too cynical, but I'm not sure if I buy into all this G-Power stuff. Didn't they claim something like 800+hp for their M5 supercharger at some point? Now they're down to a more conservative 730hp. Also, that car failed to run at a high speed test sponsored by Continental tires, and it appears to have been plagued by various problems since its birth. Not to mention the kit is something like 185,000 euros (including the car). I think this M3 kit has a long way to go if they still haven't perfected the M5 kit they've spent years on.
On a side note, I was just reading last months BMW Car magazine, and the G Power M5 featured has a front BBK but stock rears. How can you cheap out on a showcase car like that?

Well, it doesn’t fair well for G-Power to have experienced such troubles. I personally don’t know G-Power from any other source but their advertising which appears to be pretty good. However, I do know of a number of reputable tuners that have had issues starting up their cars’ when its absolutely critical. Hahaha!! I suppose these things happen. 800hp+ with a SC for the M5 engine most certainly sounds as a stretch to me even when changing all of the internals, for that kind of power you probably need to induce such a huge amount of air that only turbos are capable of.

What I hear about that car that went out for the lap and blew up on the ramp is later that week it was at a car show in Duabi or somewhere and promoting it as 800hp and the funny thing is since it blew up days prior they had to push it up on that show ramp bc the car wouldnt start.

Blow up on the ramp? Hahahaha!! Now that is a serious issue!! That would explain why they reduced output to 700+.
