modding advice: color scheme

Hello,

I am new here. next week I am buying a used AW e90 M3.
I just viewed the modded e90M3 thread and saw a lot of inspiring pictures.

for example, I see that a lot of people replace their kidney grill, sidemarker, hood vent, and even trunk lip spoiler with carbon fiber on their AW sedan.

Instead of replacing these components with CF, what do you think about me painting these parts with Jerez Black instead?

AW Sedan
with Jerez Black Kidney Grill, Side Marker, Hood vents, shark fins, ENTIRE roof, and trunk lip spoiler?

can anyone photoshop expert help me visualize this?

I did. i read/saw all 18 pages. There is no one on here that has an AW with Jerez Black color combo. The closest I see is AW with either CF or Matte Black

JZB will look a lot like black chrome for those parts. I don't know that the blue tone will go with AW, though. I recommend black chrome instead, but I'm sure the JZB will look good.

anything similar to piano black will look great as well, CF really brings out the track/sport side in the design and looks great, you could always go with alacantra replacements as well

Im partial to the monochrome color scheme. Its a very clean look IMO. I do get the whole contrasting wht/blk look though. I just think it's done a lot. Im sure your vision will look great if executed properly. I dont know about Jerez accents though. The whole magic of that color is seeing it change and sparkle on a large surface. I dont think you'll get that on just the accents. It will probably just look black.

thanks for the advice. do you think it is a bad idea to pain the entire roof Jerez Black? I am serious about doing this but am afraid that I will regret it.

simple fix... Have it wrapped black. That way no regrets if you dont like it and a great way to keep the paint looking great for years

Imo, just do the roof in glossy black. The blues/violets in JZB wouldn't look very good for the entire roof of a white car. Glossy black roof would look great, though.
