I'm planning my next car to be a e9x M3. This rod bearing thing has got me in the fence. After seeing this video of an M3 owner that goes over the right oil application for different cars shows 0-60 weight is thicker than honey. Designed to run high temps not designed for cold operations. So I'm wondering if cars in California or any of the hotter states are less prone to premature rod bearing wear.
And do M3's not come with oil coolers?
