Funny you mention that, I have the Meisterschaft GT2 race exhaust with ESS test pipes and it definitely sounds like a racecar.

Some might consider it too loud but it's rather subdued unless you jump on it and then it's really loud. Sounds less like Nascar and more like F1 though if you're familiar.

In S4 or S5 (DCT) downshifts and throttle blips are insane. People jump on the sidewalks when I drive by. I get lots of comments from people on the sound, it's amazing!

warp10 and cognitive i'l pm u guys, let me do a little more investigation. one of the guys at an indy shop in the outskirts of atlanta swore by the corsa exhaust
corsa is a favorite among people here. if you see member kitw has done plenty of exhaust combinations and i'm pretty sure he chose the corsa as his favorite. only downside is that the muffler cans aren't pretty to look at.

don't buy into the akra hype. alot of money for alot of nothing.

...so basically, the OEM exhaust mod involves simply removing part of the bottom of the exhaust plate?

No , for the Oem exhaust mod. our exhaust is opened on top and actually ones it is on the car you can see nothing of the welds .
Here my thread of my Oem. exhaust mod.with pics and DIY video => http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=733817

Thank you .
But it's not my video and not my car , it's the video that inspired me to do the Oem. exhaust mod. by myself .
Hell of a sound ?
Exactly ! And I'm very happy with this mod. and I helped lots of members on here to do this mod.
I really love to share the sound of my car , because it sounds just perfect with 0 drone and is actually the best mod. for our cars and it's very cheap .
For further questions about this mod. feel free to PM me .

Thought you decided to do the ACM bypass mod after your thread? Should've done it that way (as pictured in this thread above) if you want moar loud.

I have a Meisterschaft Exhaust and would be willing to do a trade with OEM for a difference in cash. PM me, Atlanta.

A good rule of thumb (I'm sure you're aware of), if the mod isn't permanent and doesn't damage/alter the car after you uninstall it, it won't lower your car's value. I find that on certain cars, it's actually the opposite, if you mod it properly you can attract a higher paying buyer.
