Quick question for the M3 crowd. Re: rear seat

Greetings, starting an ambitious project shortly and need to begin gathering parts. Let's just say it involves starting with an e91 LCi and ending up with something the factory never bothered to produce. Anyway, seeing as how the touring has lots of practicality and whatnot, I was wondering if there are differences between the M3 sedan and coupe rear seats? I know of course that the coupe has the central console and seating for just two but do either car's rear seatbacks fold flat? I'm thinking not to enhance rigidity but some pictures I can find online look as though the coupe's seats might fold in one piece while the sedans all look fixed to me. I know that the folding seats were a stand alone option on non-M e90s. Any help would be appreciated as I begin formulating a plan for this task.

I have seen that car and looked over those threads carefully. Problem is, the pictures do not show if the seat still splits in the middle or not. I figure if the M3 sedan was ever available with a folding seat I could just bolt that in instead of doing a custom job. So, do any M3s have a folding seat?

Maybe you can PM the guy and ask him. I'm not 100% sure what you're asking. In my coupe the rear seats do fold down towards the front to put stuff in the trunk. You reach in the trunk and pull the little levers and they fold down.

Yes, my E90 M3 has the 40/60 split rear seats that fold down; it was part of the winter package I believe as most that have this option also have seat warmers and headlight washers.

Split folding rear seats are available for the E90 M3 as a stand-alone option as well. Have them in my car...
