Which one would you choose??

i have used blizzaks the past times. i am thinking of maybe trying another brand this time.

for those that use winter tires on their E9X M3 which one out of these do you like or prefer or had exp with. any thoughts or comments are welcome.

these were the only ones showing for the sizes i need. also feel free to reccomend a different size combo as well

currently running 235/35/19 front and 255/35/19 rear on VMR 710 19's

Sorry I meant 245/40/18. Still waiting to try them out in the snow, definitely nothing like the summer tires when it comes to handling in the dry though. Even in the cold.

Well last year we got a ton of snow, but that was probably a once every 10 year fluke. I just figured if I am buying snow tires, buy something that will work Really well in the snow. It's the winter and I don't plan on doing any hard driving at all so I just went with the square setup. For one its cheaper and two it will probably be a little better handling in the snow.

Im running Michelin Pilot Alpins. So far so good. Theyve performed very well in the snow but exceptionally well in the dry cold overall. There are probably better SNOW tires but no better cold weather winter tires IMO ofcourse.

Just to mention, I run Blizzaks on the X5 and that truck is like a tank in the white stuff. I also run Pirelli snowcontrol winters on the Smart and love those too.

This is my exact experience over 4.5 winters, 2 in Minnesota, 1 upstate NY (snowbelt) and 1.5 in PA. I ran 245/40-18 Michelin Alpin PA2s on all four corners until this year.

This year I have 265/40-18 PA2s on the rear and my old (5th season) 245s in front. Great in dry cold, but not so great this year with the wider rears and old fronts in the snow.

My recommendation for anything other than ice is the PA2s in a square 245 set-up. If they work on a RWD car in Oswego NY, they'll work anywhere. Got them from Tirerack.

Agreed, like a different car... Squirrely vs. Planted, but am actually enjoying the changed driving experience... Blizzaks

Me too. I'm just up the I5. Dunlops are working great so far. I think the Dunlops are a great choice for those more concerned about cold and wet as opposed to snow.

good to know that they're working well for you -- today was my first day with them in heavy rain ... they worked well... lets see how they fare in the snow coming up this weekend and next week...
