Sorry i8, but I like the e92 a lot better. E92 M3 DCT is the best street production car BMW has ever made, IMHO.

i8 is poo and I can agree that the E9X M3's are the best but the E90 takes the cake I may be a little biased cause I own one but theres a different feel between the coupe and sedan. Plus, the sedan is more aggressive and better looking. At least to me

I feel like the i8 was/is a failure. Doesn't seem to do anything well, costs a lot, not practical for much.

Not surprised you reached this as stage

Btw, have you driven the M6? I think that's the best street car BMW has ever made

If they put a 300 HP ICE with that battery making a 400 HP package under 3800 lbs, then it would sell like hotcakes. Instead they decided to make a civic

I have not driven an i8 but I agree with the failure comment based on what I do know. I hate the way they look. Good choice leaving that outside.

Care to share any positives on the 8 that may change our options?

I really like the i8. Super futuristic, beautiful, etc. But I told you not to sell the M3 and that you'd tire of the i8!!

Where the spanking emoticon when you need it?

Whats up gents. I do like the i8 for its purpose (my daily where i don't need to carry people/stuff) but it could never be my only car. Too many compromises. That said my e92 is used more as a multi-purpose car carrying things, tracking, etc just stuff the i8 can't do. Having both is awesome as they were both built by BMWs "A" team.

Agree with this 100%. Not a car for weekend canyon carving and can't even get an HOV lane sticker in Cali (at least I could have rationalized an i8 purchase because of that...).
