The Conjuring(movie)

Wow. Did anyone else see this movie. Director was awesome as usual(loved Insidious) but boy do I feel terrified now.

you know, I love watching scary movie trailers, but watching scary movies turns me into a pussy hole....

I swear - it all started from watching Nightmare on Elm Street in 1986.

from there, I was fucked.

stopped watching scary movies until I watched The Ring in theaters - I pretty much died and had to be revived by resuscitation.

I've watched a few scary movies since then, but my approach is horrible.

when watching a scary movie, I sit there on the couch with a throw pillow over my face.

if I don't have a throw pillow, I will create a peep hole in between my fingers as to filter the full impact of the scary part.

yes, like I said, i'm a pussy hole when it comes to watching scary movies.....

LOL

I used to watch scary movies all the time. Sometimes I would have nightmares or can't sleep though. I have a very vivid imagination so it takes me a while to get over those movies. After watching Paranormal Activity (1) I couldn't sleep straight for a few weeks. After that I decided to stay away from scary movies for a while. I did end up watching Paranormal 2 and 4 (missed the 3rd one). I'm planning on watching The Conjuring with a few people this weekend. We'll see how I do after. lol

I just LOL so hard @ Litos comment.

I can't believe you guys are talking about paranormal activity and not exorcist. Exorcist was bat sh*t scary. I remember when I watched Exorcist when I was younger, I couldn't sleep for a week.

I can watch the trailer and the movie just fine. It's just when I get home and try to sleep, I can't stop thinking about the movie and could never sleep.

That is why I pretty much stay away from horror movies now..

Damn right.
I watched Exorcist when I was 9 and couldn't really walk in the dark without pissing myself. That girl vomiting green stuff while face turned 180 is still in my head.
I'm pretty sure that I won't be able to go to the bathroom at night or get water from the kitchen if I watch Conjuring.

I think Paranormal activity is nothing compared to Exorcist.

Exorcist is way way worst. I'm talking about the exorcist from the 1980s to the 90s one. Not the recent garbage.

I have never been a fan of scary movies and I dont much care for being scared. However I use to watch a LOT of movies when I was younger. I would literally watch every movie in theaters and would have to stop going for a while because we had seen them all. I have found as I've gotten older my taste in movies has changed. I really only like to watch comedies and scifi movies. I find serious dramas and the like just depress me this from someone who wore out the VHS of saving private ryan.

Paranormal Activity 3 is just like the other ones - they will chop you down and turn you into a 3 year old child.

i haven't seen the 4th one though.....

there are some awesome scary movies out that i would "love" to watch though...

Conjuring
Sinister
Evil Dead

those are the ones i can think of right now.....

last scary movie i watched was Insidious...pretty good movie, but it ripped my face off for a good 2 hours...

oh, have you ever watched Winnie the Pooh or Spongebob immediately after watching a scary movie - yeah, i've done it.

another scary 80's movie was Poltergeist.

watched the original Friday the 13th Movie - the lady saying "Kill them Jason" or something like that was the scariest part...

but The Ring - holy shit The Ring..........that movie did me in from beginning to end.....wasn't even fair HAHA !!!

I watched Childs Play once. Then I tried to watch "IT". Then I tried to watch The Ring.

Now I watch Despicable Me.... Horror movies have ruined my childhood, can't let it ruin my adulthood too. LOL

Litos is straight comedy!

I'm glad us "men" can share how we really felt after seeing these ultra horror films.

I went with 3 other guys to see paranormal activity 1 and at the end of the movie we were all quiet and stuck....we basically hung out all night til the sun came up like some big ass pussies.

Then I bought a night light LOL.

So what was more scary Paranormal 1 or The Conjuring?

EDIT: Close encounters of the 4th kind still kind of has me mind fuk'd too

I'm surprised there are so many grown men scared of horror movies. I know most of my friends are chicken. When we go to the movies and a horror movie trailer comes up, they cover their eyes like a little girl (Paranormal activity & Conjuring). But I wasn't expecting grown married men to be such pussies.

I just hate when the rotted bitches pop out of nowhere...
I'm also not a fan of psycho movies because that shit involves humans who are capable of those horrors.

My brother wasnt scared of paranormal 1 but got scared from close encounter of the 4th kind. That pretty much made me stay away from it. I was curious but never dared to watch that movie.

LOL. The first paranormal activity movie destroyed me and I felt that I would be pulled out of my bed during the night for a while after watching it, just like in the movie! The rest of them weren't as significant as the first..

If you watch Sinister, I think that you may die and never be revived again. It was THAT scary. There are many twists in the movie and I was gobsmacked! Go see it!!

I really want to see The Conjuring, especially since it is based on a true story.

What about "drag me to hell"?

That's one of the few scary movies that actually scared me.
