Actually not a bad idea. could market that product to the geriatric racer. you know like, fire-retardant Huggies. for those looong enduro races.

When I wear gloves, I'm able to more than drive flat out.

Actually, gloves are a waste. I really drive slower with them.

Seriously, good purchase!

I just started wearing gloves at track events (Alpine Stars) and it makes me feel a lot more comfortable, generally speaking. My hands sweat due to the adrenaline, so it gives me more confidence that my hands won't slip. This thread is hilarious.

These are the ones that I have and I love them. Curious where you bought them from? Might invest in a second pair for the right price.

Unfortunately I'm in Singapore. Got them at my local alpinestars dealer for US$115 after currency conversion.

I resisted getting gloves for a long time because i didn't want to mask the tactile feel of bare hands on the wheel. but i ran across a 50% off pair of G-Force reverse-seam gloves (red, of course) at my local shop and now I won't drive without em. love em!

I even wear gloves when I'm out with a student. Mine are red (fastest color) so if the shit hits the fan, I can either help grab hot shit or direct traffic. I like them when I drive to get the GT3's pointed by.

I tried on just about every race glove and agree with Puma and Sparco.

The AlpineStars provided zero grip on the steering wheel and would slide off. Not good.

I ended up with "open wheel" Guanti Tide Neros from Sparco. The individual white pads are actually volcano shapes to prevent vibration...but actually stick to the steering wheel like glue. I can walk up walls with these things like spiderman or a gecko
