Good news, I really hope it's going to happen this time. I suspect the two harnesses might even be identical

That was the impression I got. May just wait and buy something else that bolts in when I get seats.

Hello Everyone,

I was linked to this thread from another forum and after reading the last 10 pages here I just wanted to confirm that:

1. The Mini R55 Quick Fit Pro will fit on the E90
2. That Schroth is getting ready to release harnesses for the M3 soon. Do we know if it will be for the E90, the E92 or both?

Thank you for your time in advance!

I agree with you having just attended my first track day in the M3.....what pads do you all use and are they ok for DD which is 99% of my cars use?

I feel that in the order of importance of all the mods I did for the track, brake pads come first, harness comes second and wheels/tires third.

For those of you with e92s:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=805180

I will believe the Quick Fit pros when I ~see~ them. I've heard the "ready for spring" story before. I do hope it's true though.

I personally use Pagid RS19 yellow, and they're endurance pads - although they are very rotor friendly, IMO they are not really suited for daily driving. The type of pad might vary with your speed level on track and your budget, so I would suggest you ask this question in a separate thread lest you want it to get drowned in the murky waters of this thread.

Nothing is every simple. So, I just received the mini quick fit harnesses for both seats. The passenger seat unit seems fine, but the buckle on the driver's side looks like this. It will not clip into the OEM receptacle for the lap belt. What am I missing? The passenger lap belt buckle does not look like this. It looks like the regular BMW ones in the car. It does not have this double hole setup.

Does it say MINI in the documentation? maybe they've sent you the wrong one, because my driver side does not look at all like that...

I hope there is an update on the e90/e92 Harness. For now I purchased the Schroth Rallye 4 Quick Fit Harness for MINI Cooper, which is better than nothing. With my current stock seatbelt, I move too much and thats locking down the seal belt. I got my harness from Soloracer and its much cheaper than what I've seen in other websites.

yes, brett at soloracer offers better pricing. $15 less for the pair and free shipping. that is $30 less than other vendors. good guy to work with as well.

You have to cut those two little triangle tabs off the plastic buckle on either side of the metal prong. They keep the buckle from fully engaging and locking in the belt receptacle. I think I had to cut them off on both of my buckles. Apparently Schroth is not consistent on the buckles they use. It was an easy fix though with a wire cutter. Just take your time and it will look OEM when you are finished.

Actually, I found out that it is a buckle for an R50/R52/R53 mini sewn into a belt for an R55/R56/R57 harness. The QC at Schroth did not catch it. This was a simple mistake by Schroth in the U.S. assembly facility.

No they are not. That's why the Quickfit harness for the E46 does not fit the E9X
