how not to install your e92 m3 vorsteiner rear difussor

hey guys, this is not how you install the difussor. if the tape is coming off, just remove it and reset the damn thing. i saw this on a member's car and felt bad for the owner. apparently another member was "doing him a favor" by fixing his difussor that was popping out. i saw this today and couldnt believe the mickey mouse work that was done to it. the guy who "fixed" the difussor bought some 2 ply epoxy and try to glue it back. now the owner have to get his bumper and rear difussor repainted because the expoxy will not come off. lesson learn guys, if the part is falling off, just redo it. do not try to mickey mouse the install. if you can't do it, just pay someone that knows how to do.

Another tip is to use 3M adhesion promoter when you put the doublesided molding tape on. It makes all the difference in the world. I see a lot of parts held on with molding tape where the tape peels off because it doesn't adhere to the paint. This would be a non-issue if you use the adhesion promoter.

I don't mean to laugh but that looks like he used the kind of caulk that they use on tiles in the bathroom.

Some people have found it at Wal Mart. If you can't find it locally you can get it from Amazon on the interweb.
