How much should I pay for paint correction and detail ?

Just wondering what everyone is paying for paint correction services, and detailing? My car is in desperate need of correction... Thanks guys

It all depends on the condition of the paint. 8+ hours at the minimum...

I charge 65 an hour and up to 75 an hour if I have to go more than 50 miles with the gas prices the way they are these days.. it sounds like a lot but if you have someone that is going to do your car with a "3 stage" package and charges you less that 400 chances are your car is going to come out worse than when it went into the hands of the detailer. As Martin D stated above quality is priceless and once the paint correction is done if the car is maintained properly you shouldn't have to do any heavy correction anymore..

Also check out Platinum Auto Spa, they do great work as well - They charge a flat rate, but sometimes over promise on time (so don't make plans based on when they claim they'll be done)

Costs much less than a repaint, and in many cases the finished product will be better than when it was new. Like Jimmy said, once a big correction is done, PROPER maintenance will keep the car looking fresh for a long time. With care, only minor polishing should be needed afterwards.

Question to the experts, I had bird crap on my hood on a hot day, i did wash it off same day but it looks like it etched thru the clear. Would paint correction fix this?

i can only see it on certain angles. straight on i dont even notice it. Its light and transparent but knowing that its there kinda bothers me.

as marc said, try it! I wouldnt think that something so light would be too deep, but it could be...never know til you try!

paint correction at 600-1000 vs a repaint at 5000-8000 and still needs to have paint correction done...choice is easy!
