I painted a bunch of stuff black. Dunno if I like it.

Stuff I painted matte black: wheels, trim, exhaust, grille, signals, hood vents. I'm not sure if I like it.. I think it might look sorta cheap. Honestly what do you guys think? ALSO. Everytime I try to post pictures on this forum, it comes out with an error. No other forum does this for me, so I'll put all the links to the pictures at the bottom of this post, since 99% it'll mess up.

I think it looks good. Would look better with a lip. I don't like chrome stuff... So black wins in my book.

$5 can matte black looks like any other matte black finish. I think gloss black would've turned out better.

Any recommendations for a lip or pics of MR with a lip? Kinda just got the car, so haven't done much aftermarket research

Yep. I'll give it a week and if I'm still not totally satisfied I'll peel it all off. It's a PAIN peeling it off the wheels though, you have no idea.

I like the arkym lip... It's what I have... Link in my signature... But there are many others.

If you lay enough of coats of plasti dip, it shouldn't be a pain to come off. Congrats on the car bud.

Just took another pic in my garage. I actually think it looks REALLY good here. It's like it depends on the lighting

before you remove it i would suggest trying to add a gloss coat to the wheels. as i stated before i dislike black wheels but you might like the gloss better then matte. do they make a satin? i know you can buy more colors now.

I bought a few cans of plastidip glossifier. If I decide to remove it I'll spray some of that on. The reason I haven't used it on my wheels is because I tested it on something else, and it just turned out dirty looking.

Matte paint is matte paint.. Looks the same as any other finish. Doesnt make a difference to me if it comes out of a 5 dollar can or a 300 dollar can made of gold

I like the color combo red-black but there is something about the way it looks that it does not look appealing.

As you said, it looks cheap but hard to tell in pics sometimes. Those wheels are not meant to be black IMO.

its because the pictures suck, i am sure with a better camera it would look more appealing.
