The second is much better than the first.

The first picture is "too hot" in the whites... the white balance needs to be fixed, and there are specs on your windshield that can be cloned out.

Thank you...the first one is pretty much untouched, it was just a point and shoot camera.

The 2nd shot was from a 60D w/ kit lens, haven't upgraded the glass yet

That second shot is very nice. The kit lens is actually not too bad. It's cheap as hell, but the IQ is decent enough. That said, mine's been on a shelf since the first month I owned the T1i.

Geez, I was talking about the 18-55mm kit lens. The 18-135 is even less of a slouch. It's not the same quality as a 24-105mm F4L, but it's still a respectable lens.

yeah, when I heard your post about the kit lenses, I just wanted to make sure because I knew the 60D had 3 options (I think) So I just wanted to verify.

yeah there are a few different options, that was the lens i opted for. i was going to buy just the base and get a really nice lens, but i wanted to start shooting right away lol

and the other trick is as least you have a lens while you start building your lens collection. Since you want a wide angle next, that kit lens should be sufficient while you're doing your research

This is honestly your best overall option. Have him/her there to help you with them too.

But also keep in mind, what might be best for the business may not be what's necessary or best for you.

I know a professional who uses a 24-105mm F4as his personal every day lens, but uses a 24-70mm F2.8 expressly for his photoshoots and weddings.

He does this mainly because he doesn't want the extra weight and bulk when he doesn't have to use it. But at the same time gains image stabilization.

yeah he wants me to try them out, to show me some options, and if i like them or not, he is more educating me on the different lens, and im lucky to have someone like that, willing whenever to talk to and bounce options off of

Just be prepared for the dreaded Opticus Envious. It's a hungry beast and will swallow you whole.
