so disappointed, my first day!
I picked up my M3 yesterday and it looked very nice. Look what I found out today! I am extremely disappointed at this. My sales rep said the dealership will adjust the fender, light, or whatever to make it back to normal again. This is unacceptable. I only have 500km on it.

I just can't accept this. I paid for a brand new car and all they going to do is adjust whatever back to " NORMAL "? What should I do? I am not in USA currently.

My fenders are a bit off in the front too. Dealer said it was "normal", nothing he could do. It doesn't bother me too much but i find it odd that they aren't completely inline with the hood and lights. I'll adjust them myself when i get some time.

yep, that is pretty heinous...you definitely need blacked out kidney grills.
Really though, that is minor and should be easily corrected. Your car was probably built on a Friday afternoon.

Sorry to hear about this, and understand your frustration, but no M3 hood is perfect:

OP - look under the hood - I bet yours doesn't have the M3 logo on the underside of the hood. Only the coupes and verts get the real M3 hood.

Car shouldn't come like this to begin with. 70k car. It's unacceptable. There doesn't seem to be any quality control going on as of late.

Agreed, but many do. It's a quick adjustment on either hood or body panels to line them up better.

I assume this is a joke. But, it's threads like this that make me wonder why anyone would want to be in the car business, and thankful for the few who are willing to deal with the public. Yes, the car should have been assembled better, but stuff happens. Any body shop worthy of the name can fix it in 30 minutes. Relax.

I understand how simple it is to fix it, it's just a an adjustment of the hood. But, I can understand the OP's frustration. If it's that easy to adjust it, why not do it properly at the factory? Why not have a simple go/no-go check fixture at the factory? It almost makes you wonder if someone else made a repair somewhere and and removed the hood and/or fender as a result. In any case, it's easily repaired so hopefully for the OP it won't be an issue for much longer.

Honestly I wouldn't let anyone screw with it over that. With nitpicky stuff like this you run the risk of somebody bungling it up and causing a bigger mess if you let them near your car.

OK I just did. I didn't see any M3 logo. I guess it's a different part #?

Thanks to everyone who replied. I am sorry for not explaining correctly. When I left the dealership yesterday. The car looked flawless. I drove for 300miles within a day and I was about to take pics. Then I realized the fender looks awkward! I guess some screws weren't tight enough????? I am glad it seems like it's a a common/small problem. It's just I am concerned the 144kUSD I spend on a car like this.

Folks, you're >assuming< it left the factory like this...it could very well have been correct at the factory, port, and even at delivery... remember those fenders are plastic, and perhaps something as simple as a clip malfunctioned or broke in an untimely way.
