Looks great btw! I prefer single walled to the OEM as well!
coupe tips on a sedan! it's possible to keep sedan with sedan and coupe with coupe, but they will be about a quarter inch shorter.

Great Job! How much longer are the E92 pipes then the E90 ones?

the pipes are the same between e90 & e92. the e92 tips are between 1.5-2" longer.

So let me get this right, you more or less just make a cut about a .25" from the end of the tip with a bandsaw... and the inner part of the tip will separate? It's not attached or rolled at the bottom where the rivets go?

This will be a mod I will have to do. But I don't have a steady hand. Would anyone be willing to make of video of them doing theirs?

Bought a set of E92 tips for my E90 and cut them tonight.

Off to the powdercoater tomorrow to get ceramic coated black along with muffler.

The inside of the tip is just rolled in. When you cut the tip, the whole guts and inner layer of the tip just comes out.

I was a little unsure at the start of this thread, however I must say the finished product turned out a lot better then I thought it would. Well done!

Yes, as mentioned above, I have completed the mod already. They look pretty good so far. Crazy how much bigger they look with that inner barrel out.

Dig the idea. Would like a better shot of the tips. They get a bit lost at a distance. I was thinking, someone could etch ///M3 on the tip with a stencil and acid/etc. Not sure it's worth it, but other Brands do it and it looks cool.

I just did the mod with the black chrome tips. Looks good (IMO). I probably need to paint the exhaust chamber flat black like others have. Gosh I don't want to unbolt it again . . .

Looks great! The reflection of the brick wall is really throwing me off. Is that black or maroon or purple?
