mine is made by Motormax. hard to tell from OP's pics but they're not too far off in terms of detailing, if Kyosho is 10/10, this one is probably 8/10. and it cost me 50 bucks, ad they had space gray! really needed an E90 but alas, those appear to be unicorns

I'm gonna have to look for the walgreens one. I didn't know they had one. The Kyosho one is so expensive!

To my eye, I may not be able to tell the subtle difference between my dealer edition kyosho model vs motormax, but with all mods, I went with "OEM" on this one Cool thing is they actually used alpine white for the paint job.

It's interesting hear you guys discuss paying $400 for the 1:18s. the GF ended up dropping $500 on the E92 m3 GTR Art car, mint condition on ebay. Gotta say she knows how to make me happy in more ways than one. |

Some BMW parts counters still 'silently' have a few of these Kyosho 1/18 scale M3 models left in their glass display cases. Last June, I was able to get a Melbourne Red E92 in the box for $104.16 shipped from Niello BMW in Sacramento, CA. I would have preferred Alpine White or Silverstone. But, my search (a year ago) revealed none of those colors.
There aren't many left and they can be difficult to locate. However, any decent parts counter can do a search of all US dealerships to determine who still has what. Then, it's a matter of contacting those dealerships to confirm. By the way, Minichamps makes the two 1/18 scale M3 race car models. The level of detail is equal to or exceeds that of Kyosho.
