Congratulations on the upgrade Rolf. This thread was a big shock when I logged in today. The color is simply amazing. Did you lose a lot of money on the 11'? Also your odometer shows that you have 759KM to go till your tank is empty. We all know that's not true lol.

It was planned to change once I found all the options I wanted. I got into my former 2011 M3 since I had very bad memories of the then Z4 I traded in (two [2] cracked rear wheels on a vacation trip to California (details in my Z4 Garage including a link with details to the US BMW Dealership that screwed me over last year). Yes the 759 changed fairly quickly as did the KM/Litre it started out at 18.2/100 KM and after driving home on the 407 and 401 210 KM I ended up with 10.8/100 KM not bad driving around 120 KM/Hr @ a range of 3,000 to 3,500 KM.

BTW I got a few

along the way before it turned dark

Thank you ... break in is 2000 KM then they will change engine, transmission and differential oil.

you know what I mean the car feels and drives fantastic like a new car should ... now the break in period begins, once I hit 2000 KM (1240 Miles) all the oil will be changed (engine, transmission and differential) to remove any dust or foreign tiny particles that may have been left or accumulated during the assembly of this great engine

Having taken a tour of the factory and having seen the clean environment that our engines are assembled, I know it would be only micro particles that will be flushed out during the oil change.

My original plan was to order and do the ED for May next year. Thinking about it (long waiting period and ultra high gas prices in Germany) I decided against the ED besides I was at Die Welt in may 2009. I will on my May / June trip to Germany do the EuroRail Pass and rent a car at railway stations when I need one. This removes the stress of parking a brand new car on the streets waiting for delivery etc. etc. Besides knowing she is tugged safely in my garage gives one that fussy kind of feeling

Rolf, sounds like it's a nice Christmas gift to yourself. I'm glad you were able to find a car so close with all the options you wanted. It sounds like you've done the tours of all the car factories/museums in Germany. So, ED would have been a torturous wait. I don't know what it is about this car that makes me obsessed. I don't drive it everyday, but just looking at it, makes me happy. And to share the passion and the stories with fellow enthusiasts is awesome. Can't wait to see more pics of your car!
