Bubu's Coalinga Airstrip runs videos

I just got through clipping the video from the gopro's and figured I'd share...

I'm running an ESS VT-625 SC with primary cat delete (test pipes), 91 octane. I was trapping in the low to mid 150's both days. I'll share the trap speed times if I ever hear back from the Shift S3ctor guys after asking for them (they kept a spreadsheet).

The rolls were done from 40-45 mph.

F430 Ferrari Scuderia

Lamborghini Galardo LP570

2009 Nissan GT-R - 91 Octane COBB tune & Full Exhaust.

Its worth mentioning this was the closest to "stock" GT-R at the event. The e85 tuned GT-R's with full exhausts/bolt-ons pulled bus lengths on me .

2013 M6 DCT (I think he had cut-outs, not confirmed)

E60 M5 - ESS VT2-650 SMG

C63 AMG - Weistec 100 Octane Tune & Headers

335i Vinshu/FFTEC - Single Turbo with Meth.

...I'll post the remainder when I have time to clip & tag em.

Very nice, was it just the camera angle or would you jumping the start a few times? You had some great runs! seems as though the car was doing great against some beast!

I found it hard to line up perfectly @ the cones from a roll so it was rare to be dead even @ the start. The wide angle lenses & mounting angles also exaggerate the actual gaps.

Believe it or not the F430 actually jumped me big time by going wide open throttle 3/4of the way to the cones...you can see where he hits it early in the video if you watch his rear sink. I found some drivers would sometimes intentionally hang a little back so they could punch it early and hence have a higher initial speed.

after re watching I can see the f430 does accelerate a tad early, which im sure in these races are a huge advantage. Either way your car did awesome!! very well done

Golffrr, that's pretty much what people do to "jump" in these races; hang back and floor it early...it looks mostly innocent, and if they do it right they hit the cones at nearly the same time or a little behind, but they end up hitting the cones 15 or 20 mph faster than you...and pull hard early.

I suspect that the "almost stock" infamous Z06 that's been beating faster cars handily at these events (like a ZR1) does this to perfection ...or he has a 300 shot he is not owning up too

That single turbo 335 was quick but man the lag between shifts killed it.

Yeah, I ran a couple of them with nearly identical builds...they all dyno'd in the low 500whp. It just shows to show you how much of an advantage DCT is.

That ESS E60 was nice to see. In theory that should mean I stand somewhat of a fighting chance vs VT2 M3s.

I actually ran 3 different 335's...I ran a e92 coupe RB Twin Turbo late on day 1, gopro batteries were unfortunately dead by then. It was driven by a writer for european car magazine who was doing a write up)...other two were single turbo. The one shown in the video was early on day 2; a single turbo conversion I believe.

Owner is on e90 post so maybe he'll chime in.

Stage 2 Drew, I have a video running a home garage built Neon SRT4 (by a high school kid!). It gave me a run for my money and I think it would have beaten me in a mile. I think he was running somewhere north of 25lb of boost. Owner had no idea of HP as it was home built on minimal budget.

You had the left hand lane and a much better video setup. My gorpos were on the same side as yours...post it up, the clean run we had was the closest I've ever come to your bumper.

Just messing with you lol. Yeah I have a compilation vid that I will post shortly and I didn't include our first run where you hit fuel cut-off.
