I run Snow Performance, I ran it on the E46 M3 and now the E92, works well.

I agree, it was a personal choice this time around, but 93 is still better than 91, with 7.x psi, just in case the WM failed. I ran WM on another S65 setup @ 9psi had an issue, nothing to do with the WM kit, but rather running an aluminum tank eventually led to clogged nozzles, so I'm a little hesitant to run 91 and meth at 7+ psi.

I have always been and am still a fan of running WM on these motors with FI and I like what you've done so far with Meth on the S65 N/A. I was not running any DME safety features at the time

In your case i'm not 100% sure a safety map switch would really be necessary unless you are altering the stock timing maps to take advantage of the meth. If meth stopped flowing it would knock but at stock timing levels and then pull back. Obviously not ideal, you would want to avoid that. Once you have tuned for meth then you REALLY need a good failsafe.

Since a s/c setup isnt going to increase boost based on meth flow, etc. The only thing I can think of is the possibility to increase timing at crucial points to gain power/throttle response.

Assuming that is what Shiv is planning on doing w the s/c setups as well.

Or I guess you could involve solenoids linked to the procede to cut boost altogether in case of a flow failure but now your adding more hardware to the system.

6 beers, 3 glasses of wine, a few special brownies so far today, hope i'm not ramlbing lol. OBX .

Shiv,

What are the chances of you guys going to market with a Tune/WM kit for the E9X M3?

If things go as expected, I'd say 100%.

This is awesome. Is there anyway possible to integrate the meth tune into the M mode so that the meth is only on in M mode? This way, we can save on meth and have the power on demand. That would be a great product, and I will be the first one on the list!

I'm very interested to see how this plays out, what kind of price would this kit/ tune, run for, what if any negative side affects would this have on the engine in the long term ?

Right now, we have it so that methanol is only active when the M button is pressed. And we really aren't injecting a large volume of meth. So expect a tank, which will cost $3-6 to fill up, to last at least a week of hard street driving.

Pricing will be worked out soon. Just finishing up details right now. But there, quite literally, are no downsides to running a proper PWM metered meth system.

I donīt think it is a good idea to use the M-button, when you are on a track the throttle response is to aggressive, at least on a supercharged car.

You can also switch on the meth map by toggling over to map4 (by using your cruise control stalk).

This is a really cool idea, and I'm looking forward to the results.

Definitely something I would entertain on my car. I've always been an advocate of lowering intake temps. More oxygen = more power. Meth lets you add a sizable amount of timing.

Throttle response doesn't have to be on the most aggressive setting either.

More Datalogs of a 2nd+3rd gear run. This time the runs were logged on a cool 65F morning. Pretty much best possible conditions.

Stock tune and no meth:

Procede tune and meth:

Note:
- Recorded temps are 20 deg C lower with PWM meth enabled. Even in cool 22 deg C weather!

- Ignition advance was 5-7 deg higher with methanol enabled. The DME itself added in 1-2 deg of that. The other ~4 deg was added by the Procede. The difference would be even greater if tested in hotter temps were we would see obvious knock retard with the stock tune.

Cheers,
shiv
