2010 335i conv. Navi Update
Hi,
Haven't been here in a while. My dealer is going to update the nav map data on my my 4-year old 335 (2010) convertible later this week. They say that my model does not update via a update disc, but rather via a flash update. I want to make sure that they really do update the nav data, is there any way to tell whether the data has been updated??? |

They sell the update via USB drive in the parts department. You can buy it over the counter and install them while you drive, which takes about 45 minutes. Call ahead to order it because the update enabling (FSC) code takes a little while to process once the parts department orders it since it is processed in Germany.
To check that the updates were installed go to the navigation menu and hit the option button and scroll to the bottom and select navigation system version. |

Before paying them to do it, take a look at this:

u can download the maps onto a usb stick from the internet for free - just pay someone on the forums for the FSC activation code - check the navi forums on here - plenty of info...

So far this is the only helpful post I've seen in the General M3 Forum. OP - Give this man a reputation bump. |
