Do you or will you garage it?

From the polls on demographics and income, I can't help but wonder if most 1-owners will garage theirs, as in "not even owning a garage." I know that garaged vehicles LAST LONGER, especially for corrosion items like electrical/electronics/rubber seals/etc., not to mention paint and UV-sensitive surfaces.

No doubt this will develop into number of complaints, repair history, reliability rating, reputation, etc. (e.g., I know nearly ALL Porsches are garaged by their owners). The market segment makes a huge difference.

So what's your new baby's new home?

(Mine will be indoors nearly 24/7 since I work from home :thumbup

Anyone who buys a new car and doesn't have a garage to protect the investment has made a purchasing mistake. Honestly, I'm mad at myself for only buying a house with only a 2 car garage, instead if a 3 car garage. I won't make that mistake again.

Now's the time I revel in my decision to build a home with a 3 car garage!

It would definitely get dedicated garage space.

I agree word for word. People who stuff so much crap in their garage that there's no room left for cars are pathetic. If it has sat in your garage for over a year, and you haven't needed it, get rid of it. Stop being a pack rat and treat your cars with some respect.

Isn't it ironic that the 1 is so compact, yet you still follow the "bigger is better" mentality?

I will park my car in the garage. My wife and I love the look of a nice clean garage and I was lucky enough to get a bunch of cabinets for free through my job so we can keep things partly organized. I am also lucky enough to have parking deck access at work now so at least it is under cover most of the time. I have noticed a decent difference just in the last couple of months WRT the amount of dirt that gets on the car.

If I owned that garage, I'd put up a disco ball and black lights.
