Been searching far and wide an can not seem to find a E9x only E46 SS or turbos

with full bolt ons bren@brentuning has broken 400whp on his dynapack:
http://www.***********.com/showthrea...-E92-M3-record

others with full bolt ons have been able to get near 380-390whp on dynojet

its all about the parts/tune you choose too..

That link did not work, but as of now, i have the Rpi scoops, Bmc filter, Rpi GTM axleback and i was curious on how much whp i was pushing then was going to do a ESS tune and not sure what i would do after i wanted to dyno step by step to make sure i do not loose power (my most feared thing)

This is all about dynos that read differently. 400whp is pretty arbitrary when one dyno says stock is 385 whp.

...ah dynos!!

going back to my motorcycle days, I stopped caring about dyno read outs the first time I took my motorcycle out to the track... I take my M3 out to the track this Saturday for the first time.... once you're on the track... other things become far more imporant .. such as the correct line, doing serious track mods (brakes, suspension etc) and outright power takes a backseat...

take it to the track!! WOOT!

If you ever have any dyno question, this is the place you need to check first.

You can easily crack 400whp with the various supercharger kits available.

I put down 340whp stock, and 407.7whp with bolt ons and tune on the same dyno, same correction factor and SAE correction AS VERIFIED by the dyno database. Files are available for download and review. STM3, a customer, put down 410.9whp with same bolt on and custom tune setup as myself last weekend, same dyno that baselines a stock DCT M3 AT 335-345whp (ALSO verified by the dyno database)

Who tuned it? Any issues with TSB software updates at the dealer?

Also, does the type of tune really matter? Essentially, won't I be putting down the same HP (400) whether I go with Dinan or ESS assuming my parts list (Turner pulley, MS Air Filter, RPI scoops, RPI catless midpipe, RPI x-pipe, RPI GT1 catback)?

No actually you won't. I have yet to see an off the shelf file crest 400. Custom Tuning by a good tuner and X pipe design/front cat delete means everything when it comes to numbers. The tunes were done custom by OE - all the top 4 N/A bolt on car dyno database files were done by OE.

Those mods don't make any power.... maybe at high speeds, you'll get 5whp total

The RPI catback has been shown to make power. I want to believe that the panel filter and scoops make power as well, even if they are stand alone mods. Do they on their own?....dunno.
