New brake cooling ducts and backing plates from Cantrell

Good news - Cantrell now have a complete kit for about $520.
I don't know why the pics are upside down...

I have just ordered the complete kit from Cantrell - they have added the front ducts, and modified their backing plate to shield the ball joint:

Front ducts, Backing plates - $450 for plain aluminum, add $100 for powder coating, add approx $200 for carbon fibre
2.5 inch hoses and clamps - $65

I will post updates when they arrive, when I fit them, and the results after a hot Sebring track weekend on June 9/10

BTW, last weekend 1 burned throughout a brand new set of Pagid RS-19's in 7 25-miute sessions at Sebring!!

Figures I would've JUST bought the Bimmerworld backing plates, Apex inlet, and TMS hose, and haven't even installed them yet.

Let us know how it goes. I've got to cut the lip on the Bimmerworld plates so it can clear the rotor, and I had to cut a couple of pieces to fit around the caliper, but it should be good afterwards.

Wow the whole kit for $520 is actually pretty reasonable.

I thought the plates alone were $450 previously? If so that is an awesome price drop. I'm interested at this price point.

This is good news. But 7 25 min sessions on a stock car this heavy and powerful? Sounds pretty reasonable. This ain't no miata.

$515 for the complete bare aluminum kit
$615 for powder coated
Approx $715 for carbon fibre

Its cheaper, and it fits.

Man that's a deal, I look forward to seeing pics. I'm excited we can finally get a proper duct setup for a reasonable $500 instead of the ~$1000 it was for BW plates, apex ducts, turner hoses.

This is great news! I sure am happy to see they took into account our input and redesigned the plates and made the price more reasonable. Looking forward to see your pics.

No, there is nothing on their website.

They have said they will send me pics as soon as they have them - I expect the pics today or Monday.

okay about a year ago they had something in the works. their original design went in the lower inlet for the air intake and the oil cooler and was not very attractive. colin is the owner.
