Heading home around 11pm one night, passed an intersection and then all of a sudden BAM, Im like wtf, and I get out to see that there was a section of uneven pavement due to some construction work. (believe me, the pavement was really UNEVEN lol) That's the story. There were couple more damages other than the wheel and the tire.

I don't have an E9X M3 story, but I have an E36 M3 story. Sorry, I don't have pics, because this story took place back in '98, and digital cameras weren't available. So I am driving on the FWy, I fell asleep, yes asleep, behind the wheel, and the road was wet. I was taking an on-ramp and the car started fish-tailing, span on one side, corrected it, and then it snapped the opposite direction. Hit a curb on the on-ramp. Luckily nothing happened to me. The wheel cracked, no body damage, surprising, but axle was damaged, the shock and the spring had to be replaced. What did I learn from this experience? When you are tired, pull over somewhere, take a 10 minutes nap, and be on your way. Surprisingly, it works.
But Ouch to that wheel. I have not seen a wheel bent like that. |

Someone at my school, Hofstra, put a 4 inch scratch above the m3 emblem on the trunk lid and made a bigger "C" shaped scratch near that on the side of the car sorta above the taillight. Ugh.... not a nasty super-deep jagged keying though, but still a scratch nonetheless.
I assume from the location that it was on purpose. Just happened on Monday.

It's minor in the sense that you don't notice it unless you crawl under the front bumper - deep scratches over like 30 centimeter at the bottom of the main airduct - due to enterring a steep parking garage. Since I'm not that maniac I won't do any paintjob on it.

i scratched my front bumper against a post near my garage this past weekend. just got the car this month! i was beside myself when it happened. i'm using it as an excuse to have the reflector holes filled in and make my bumper euro-style.

Some jackass used a screwdriver or key to pry off the M3 badge from my rear trunk lid. This left several scratches in the paint, that I covered up by using a slightly larger E46 style M3 badge.

Oh dude that sucks balls. Emblems are so cheap why would you need to steal one? Where were you parked when that happened? I'm in the S. Bay also.
