New here! Few questions

I just bought a 2011 M3 coupe MT Mineral White, and have a few questions.

-Does it look like the turn signal covers are Alpine White, while the car is Mineral? I'm assuming they make both, and figure the original owner just got the wrong color.

-The original sticker shows Competition Package, but from what I can tell, the wheels are not what come with it. Can you get the Competition Package (suspension upgrades) without the competition wheels (not sure what they're called yet)?

Hope my insurance comes through today so I can play tonight!

Do the reflectors have a metallic paint on them? Alpine white is flat, MW is metallic. About your second question, 359m wheels are an essential part of the competition package. Looks like they sold you the car with the older 19" wheels. These wheels are actually better (forged, not painted) but they are not comp pkg wheels.

And the reason I say the 359M wheels are an essential part of the ZCP package, is because it is debatable that the other parts (10mm suspension drop and tweaked EDC) have any noticeable effect on performance/handling for 99.9% of the population. If you want the wheels, you get ZCP.

They are not turn signal covers. They're just really ugly yellow reflectors. You can remove them and have them painted again

Exactly! When ordering an 2011 M3, if you wanted 19" wheels you had the choice of the 220 wheel which is what you have or the getting comp pkg and getting 359 wheels. The cost of getting the comp pkg was not that much more than getting the 220 wheels so you got the wheels and rest of the comp pkg at little cost.

Wah has already outlined the difference between the 220 and 359 wheels but for many it was simply a choice of styling and that is a personal decision...

It doesn't look like the reflectors have paint on them, but a cover. It is glossy, and not flat. Am I just tripping about the color difference, or do you guys see it too? Anywhere I can get the proper matching ones, or is this the best it will get?

Here is what the Competition package has:

E92 M3 ZCP Competition Package
1. Modified DSC in "M dynamic mode" ( MDM) .
2. Specially modified EDC in "sports mode" .
3. Exclusive Y spoke 19 inch M light alloy wheels
4. Suspension 100 MM (.4 inches) lower.

The wheels should look like this..

You really should get them ZCP wheels! Everyone will automatically know you got the upgrade and they look soooo much better...IMOP

The reflector covers are not expensive, just order a new set from IND in mineral white...

Looks like the previous owner had the performance OEM spoiler painted white?? instead of the carbon fiber...unsure why he would do that ... With a carbon fiber roof would make sense to keep it carbon fiber also, but sounds like he liked to mismatch things with the reflectors etc.

It does look like that way in the picture, but it's carbon fiber too

I think its a reflection on the spoiler.

Stick with your 220's. If you see a set of used 359's, get them later and sell your 220's. Problem solved.
