How to get DCT Shift Lights on all the time?

I have only had my car for 2 weeks and I love it so far. I know how to use the set control button to turn on the shift lights when shifting manually but is there a way to always have them default to on and keep the setting? I know I can use the M button and I have it programmed that way but I thought it saved the setting with the key but it isn't.

If you have idrive go in to the M settings screen, hit right twice to go to M key settings.

BTW I am assuming you have the new gen idrive as well.

I dont know how to do it otherwise.

You can also enable it from the steering stalk.

I already have the M mode programmed with it and know how to change it with the steering stalk but it doesn't keep the setting using this method after turning off the car.

did you do what Crimson said?

goto the M settings in the Idrive, hit the knob to the right, twice, and when in the M key settings, check it on there... it should remain on from then on when using that key.

Now I see - I didn't realize there was a difference between M Drive and M Key. I changed the setting on M Key and now it works - thanks for the help!

Not that it matters to me but how does someone without iDrive change any of these settings?
