West Coast is where you want to be. Commerical construction is still pretty hot here.

Well, I definately hope you are right. Just curious, Isn't there some duty/etc. you have to pay in order to import brand new vehicles into Canada, or am I wrong?

Yeah, a lot of stuff comes standard I believe. Options are basically the executive package, m-drive, EDC, and a few minor ones.

No, but I'll trade you homes for 6 months. Not NYC, but the mountain views are amazing. And I'm obsessed with all things British.

Haters, are you reading this?
I was serious enough to make a 3K down payment back in June for one. I've just realized I'm not going to push that car to its limits like it deserves to be, and if you're going to pay that kind of money, you should be pushing it hard and taking it the track! A GT car like the S5 still offers great performance and features for a lot less money.

And I'm sure I'll still be getting just as many speeding tickets...

I see your point, although the S5's "limits" are no slouches themselves; that logic implies A5 all the way.

I put in a lot of hours at work this weekend and didn't have time to check this site. What a way to start my week! I have my checkbook with me and will be going to the BMW dealership today or tomorrow to reserve my spot.

Awesome news! That is $11,000 less than what I had expected. Now I just want to know when DCT will be available and I am there!

there is a 6.1% duty that you need to pay on any car manufactured outside of North America.

The Canadian Pricing is going to have to walk a very fine line.

So, the only way to get Navigation System is to purchase the whole Technology Package? That is insane!

Any idea when the Canadian pricing will be out? I am very interested!

You can order it without getting the whole ZTP.

no clue. The Canadian launch of the M3 is near the end of march (22nd I believe) so that should be the last possible date.

I'm really torn. Since I was in high school I've loved the M3 and the GTR. Now I have the chance to own one of these cars and I'm having a really tough time deciding which to get. Recently, I've been thinking I might go with the M3 on a 36 month lease and then replace it with a GTR variant but that could change at any moment.

Even if that were true, it would still be dwarfed by the insanity of CA only being available with ZTP.

+1.

Not a fan of the bizzare option choices BMW has deployed for the M3.

No priority one options seen yet; also, one wonders if you pushed the dealer hard would you be able to separate the two. Probably not, or even more likely, probably not until next year.

That's exactly what I am hoping Keto - it will be available stand alone in 2009. I won't be buying til 2009 anyway.

I really hope they price it reasonably in Canada. At 80K+ CDN, it really makes you want to go through the hassle of buying in the US (whenever they're readily available).

Of course, my current lease is up in May, so I think I'll need to get something else anyway. I suppose a used e46 M3 could tide me over (especially if they take a hit in price once the e90's hit the streets).
