Are there actual mineral deposits (doesn't feel quite smooth enough), or are you talking about etching that's in the paint (feel perfectly smooth but you can see the outline of where something used to be)?

Hey!

Well, I just waxed it so it's pretty smooth. But I can def see the outlines of water drops. The outlines are a hazy white and you have to see it in either sunlight or move around and catch the right angle.

Thanks

I see. You'll want to try a dedicated water-spot remover, which will remove any minerals from the surface (likely calcium from hard-water). After that, you'll likely be left with etching marks which will look like ghost marks of where the deposits were. This is evidence of damage to your paint and will need to be mechanically removed through polish and a buffer. Basically, you'll need to remove a few microns of clear-coat to relevel the finish past the point of what is damaged.
If you have experience with a buffer, you can certainly have at it. You can also buy everything you need to do it yourself and give it a go. If you're worried of damaging your finish (a legit concern), your best bet is having a professional detailer take care of it for you.
