What does this mean? Rotors?

Both came on simultaneously this morning w/o warning.

Car is running w/o issue. 44k with some track time. I know that the rotors were getting to that point. Still, wanted to confirm the meaning of these signals.

Hmm that's just the service indicator, you need to get your key read a dealership.

Does your idrive indicate that your brakes need servicing? If they actually don't, reset the service indicator for the brakes.

There is no low rotor warning to my knowledge, since there are no rotor width sensors or anything like that. The red "brake" light comes on when e brake is on, for one thing.

I'm pretty sure low pad warning is yellow rather than red.

Try holding down the stalk on the turn signal selector and see if it gives more info. It should provide CCID.

Brake pads below minimum thickness, could be front and/or rear.

Like Mike said. What has happened is that you have sensors connected to the rotor which is flush with the pads. These sensors have shaved down to their warning limit. You need to replace your pads and the sensors. My advice, when you replace the sensors just zip tie them to the suspension and call it a day. It's too easy to check your pads every now and then unless you don't mind wasting money on them.

The only other reason this could have happened is that your pads are good but you maybe tracked the car, heated the sensors and caused them to melt. They are nothing special just plastic with a metal point to set the alarm and wiring. This was my issue so I zip tie.

Take a look at your iDrive and it will tell you if it's the front or rear.

has nothing to do with the rotors. your sensors are worn out and/or you need new pads. from my knowledge, there is no such thing as a rotor service light.
