Wow, mucho quiet here these days.
Anyone gonna get an M5? Any feelings on the new F30, looks nice. Bodes well for the next generation M3... Liking the new LED tail lights for sure. Hopefully we can get the sweet full LED corona rings too. |

Hey Jamie,
I talked to friend in YYC and he has a 550xi and he does not like it compared to his old 3 series. His main complaint was a heavy car and poor handling. He missed the nimbleness of his 335xi. I'd love an M5 but I am gonna wait for the next gen M3 first. Plus I have concerns over wtf is gonna happen to the world over the next few years. |

I saw the new M5 at the LA car show and it looks awesome! But I really want to see the new M3 coupe before I pull the trigger.

Oh the new M5...dang the more I see and read articles and reviews, it makes me want one even more. It would definitely be a nice addition to the M3 right now, but even still the M5 would a purchase 4-5 years from now! Should be able to convince the wife by tacking on another ED and take her to Paris...lol The new 3 Series is nice, I love what they did with the interior changes, makes our surrent interior look archaic; more modern feel and the double hump is gone for the nav system. Overall impression is very good, and the changes are a big welcome, but it still looks like a 3 series. Cannot wait to see what the next gen M will bring! Cheers! Ricky |

Anyone have issues starting their car
in this cold weather? My coworkers seem to find it odd BMWs aren't equipped with block heaters

My car has been good but I drive it at lunch to get some heat into it.
It isnt happy when left for the day in -30 like earlier this week. You can get an adhesive oil warmer if you want. Both dealerships sell them. It was originally made for diesels but fits our cars well too. http://www.padheaters.com/ |

slow to start, and made some funky intake sounds (deep and boomy) until it reached full temperature for a while... Probably won't be driving it much on the extremely cold days any more... |

Weird.
You do get a buzzing sound from the engine but that is part of the cold start programming, I think its a cat preheater. The exhaust roars nice. I love the M3 cold start idle, shakes the garage..... |

M5 info just got released to dealers in Canada if anyone is inquiring. No prices yet.
I am trying to get more info. I'll post what I find. ED is better for sure, same price as buying from dealer at least.... |

Anyone who wants to buy a M5 in Etown better bend over and get ready to take it dry. Cause the clowns here will not deal on the M5. There is way too much hype on this car. And that are going to take full advantage of it.

If anyone needs a lead in YYC and wants to save a bunch on money PM me. I just got a buddy $4k or more off on a 2012 335 Xdrive from Calgary. People will pay the $$$ here and not question the bullshit. What can you say. I walk south with my wallet. I expect the new M5 will be $110k base and loaded prob $125. Wait till you see the M6 prices when it rolls out.... |

My plan is wait till 2014 and see the new M3.
It may be a hyper step forward in performance and could again be the worlds best 4 door sports car. The M4 might even be stupider with crazier setup for performance and track... |

I agree, I am also going wait to see the new M3, or at least the real info on it before I pull the trigger on anything. But one thing for sure is I will NEVER buy a BMW in Edmonton.
