Do I get 6mt just so my wife doesnt touch it? :)

I will be ordering the 2012 m3 soon, however, as much as I want to get the automatic, I\'m debating to get stick (I\'ve driven stick for a while) just so that my wife can\'t drive it.
Am I doing too much evil thinking in not letting my wife drive it, or just get automatic and roll with the punches?

I\'d appreciate some input from you guys.

Thanks

Don't get the 6MT just so your wife can't drive it, but don't get the auto just so your wife can drive it. Get what you want.

get DCT with gintani race and catless x pipe. 99% of women would dread sitting in it

It's just a car and besides she's your wife. Just don't let her be the boss in driving your m3 though.

That's NOT why I buy manuals but a nice fringe benefit nevertheless.

The DCT is a beautiful piece of engineering. If you're leaning that direction, I say go for it. Whose car is it gonna be?

Why, is your wife a bad driver?

Pick what you want or you're going to regret it.

My gf isn't a bad driver but I would never let her drive my M3. I would be repairing wheels once a week. No one can care about your car or understand how special it is but you.

Mine. She has a cayenne but now once in a while (especially in the summer) steals my 328

Just get the transmission type that you want. Don't choose manual just because she won't be able to drive it.
