Question M3 convertible options

Since I am pretty much a purist I don't have much interest in a convertible M3 I am pretty behind on the whole convertible issue. Too much weight and too little rigidity for me. However, after seeing a video of the new 335i cabriolet here: http://www.netscape.com/viewstory/20...%2F&frame=true I decided a folding hartop M3 would be pretty darn cool.

What are the facts/rumors about soft/hard top for the new M3? Will the hardtop M3 be the M4? A much older article here: http://www.worldcarfans.com/spyphoto...01/country/gcf stated that 3 series will only have canvas tops for weight and maintenance issues. I guess based on the video this artice is just totally outdated.

It will be the M3 Convertible (not M4).
It's supposed to get the same "features"/gimmicks that the E92 M3 will get.
Only thing that car magazines are speculating about is that the M3 convertible might get a CF hard top to reduce weight.
It's supposed to debut in spring 2008 (i really doubt that).

Best regards south

Hmm, why put a CF hard top on the car, if its going to be heavy anyway. A CF roof on the hardop would have minial weight savings so I think that it won't happen. It will only be on the coupe and CSL.

As long as the coupe gets it, I am happy.

Yeah, same here. Maybe he was making fun of me for saying that the CSL will have the CF roof. (As if to speculate on a car that is not even out yet, which is kind of funny because thats what we're all doing!)
