AA Short Shifter FTW!!!!!!

I don't have a big review to write on it, because I just picked up my car and drove about 5 km back to work. But wow...its smooth and flawless!

Most importantly, its tight and accurate and obviously significantly shorter then stock!

I love it, can't wait to drive it more ...I just wanted to post this for those who are debating getting it, there is no downside to it!

My only complaint would be that I would like it to sit a little lower and the shop who installed mine has a way of doing that for me.

Thanks guys!
Cheers

They haven't done it yet, he says he can do it for me. I believe using an OEM BMW part, they would just change the lever - he says he has to make sure they can do it on the E9x. But he has done it to a lot of other BMWs in the past. I will know the details tomorrow of how and IF at all this is possible.

Installation was just about 2 hours, I paid $200 bucks. I could have found cheaper, but this place does good work and I'm not worried about leaving my car there. They only do Ferraris, Porsches, BMWs.

They had a gorgeous white F430 Spider with Red Interior and Red Brakes. GORGEOUS!!!!!!

if your shop is able to change the lever using the OEM part, can you give us the part # cuz I would definately love to do the same thing you will do.

Of course...I don't see why anyone would give up the stock knob (especially with the way it lights up at night!!!)

i love the way the oem lights up at night, but there's just more feel with a weighted knob, so i'm still undecided

Yea, that is exactly my issue with the stock knob, the feel and weight of an aluminum ball is fantastic. Also looks better IMO during the day.

I doubt they would overnight it unless of course you paid extra for that service...
