Finally got my M3!!!
Hey all,
Just want to introduce myself and my new (09 DCT) M3! First, I want to start out and say that the m3 has been my dream car since I first entered a dealership when I was 12 and saw a poster on the wall. After setting my sights on buying one last year, I've spent countless hours watching videos and reading reviews. All I can say is that it has exceeded all my expectations. It is rare that your hero lives up to be as great as you think, but the M3 delivers...and then some. My drive home in the M was actually underwhelming... driving back on the highway in the softest settings I was wondering whether I had made the right decision. But after playing around with the settings and tailoring the M mode to my likings, it felt as though I had unwrapped a completely different car. The icing on the cake was when I got the RPMs above 4k... shooting onto the highway from an entrance ramp with the tail slipping out a bit, the engine screaming, and realizing I was doing speeds that I don't even feel comfortable posting on here... All I can say is WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Looking forward to posting here more often. PS my car came with a meisterschaft exhaust. The guy said it is worth 5k. Does anyone know what model would be in that price range? It is a bit too loud for me so I am probably going to sell it or trade it for an akrapovic . the mini is my friends |

Congrats on the car. If you get under the car there should be a metal plate welded onto the meisterschaft piping which says what model it is. Hope this helps and enjoy the car.

Congrats! Your meisterschaft exhaust might cost around $2k-$2.4k with connecting pipes, but it might even go lower depending on what model you have.

Thanks everyone!
And yes, it is space grey. But when I took the picture the car was really dusty and a thin layer of dew had formed on it so it might have looked frozen. My favorite thing about the SG is that it looks good when it is clean, but looks almost as good when it is dirty from far away. Thanks everyone for the tips on the exhaust. I'll see if I can jack the car up later and figure out the model. |
