Solid food with container, yes. (for example, a burger with a box, donut with a bag, something to hold the crumbs.)

Water bottles and coffee with closed lid.

That's it. My car isn't a fucking five-star restaurant.

Eat?!

I don't even let food in the car. I'll drive home holding the bag out the window with all four windows and sunroof open all the way home.

If we buy something to drink, we're sitting and drinking it first.

I'd rather see my kids starve than have to watch them defile my pristine car with their so-called basic need to eat. Well, almost....

In my 2+ years of ownership, I think coffee is the only thing that's been in my car. I also think the whole drive thru restaurant concept is strange anyway.

No food. No sweaty people either.

Other than being generally anal, the leather is seriously sensitive. It doesn't look like it will hold up to grease very well. Some stuff you can clean. Some stuff better to prevent.

Water bottles and I eat a protein bar every day on the way to work. Nobody else is allowed to have food.

MIL is Indian and we were at some festival. They always have lots of food at these things and she got several containers to bring home. Since we were in the M3, I said no (actually I made my wife tell her no). They all had to scarf it down there.

Wife's MDX looks like someone ground various forms of food into every crevice and into the perf leather seats. I don't even bother cleaning that car anymore.

I knew a guy some years back with an e46 who used to put a towel down on the seats before he let anyone else sit in his car. I think that is a bit ridiculous.

I am worried less about food than I am about odors. Food can be easily cleaned, but odors linger and can ruin the smell of the leather, etc. I let my kids eat non-messy stuff if they are really hungry. No gum, no chocolate, etc. Chips and crackers are okay. That stuff can get easily vacuumed. Cooked food is out of the question as it will leave odors. I never take my M3 to pick up take out food, as the odors linger. Cancer sticks, of course, are out of the question. Of course, I don't socially associate with anyone who consumes cancer sticks anyway.

To me it's just a car. I enjoy my coffee/donuts/burgers on the way to vegas or road trip. Sometimes I just grab to go and eat it in the car with some nice music on
