$299 and your car is not any faster?? why bother? You can get your throttle remapped with an ECU tune and also increase your HP at the same time.

The M Drive system does this, in several stages. I have a feeling it would not do any more than what the M Drive already does. I suppose this is a good add on for someone without the M Drive.

It does not do this Askiles.. I've used these on all my BMW's... even WITH TUNING... the Sprint Booster is an AWESOME MOD!!

The factory settings are HORRIBLE... and even 'Tuned' Mappings are only 'Average' IMO...

I love the SprintBooster, and don't know anyone who 'has it' that does not LOVE IT!

You will not be dissapointed!

Dave

Isn't this exactly what the Sport button does?

Just dumping more fuel to the engine?
it sounds like press the gas pedal a bit but it'll dump more gas to the engine.
So boosted version of Sport button?

The sprint booster accelerates (tricks) the mappings, to be more aggressive with throttle. Since from the factory... all your throttle bodies are electronically controlled... even when you 'MASH the pedal' and 'Floor it'... they still 'open' at their programmed 'safe - slow' rate!

This magnifies that rate significantly... so when you 'roll on the gas'... they are all opening up quicker.

Peace,
Dave

Seriously, how is this different from the power button that remaps throttle response? The explanations in this thread so far are a lot of fancy words that descrie no difference whatsoever.

It's not different. It just takes whatever mapping you have enabled and amplifies it by the graph amount listed.

So if you're in normal, sport or sport+ it's all amplified by the Turner mapped amount.

It's not a throttle map change, but a overall boost change.

I'll do some more research, but I'm definitely intrigued. This should make heel to toe much easier.

I have it and I can feel the difference and it is not jumpy at all. It's not night and day but the pedal is a lot more responsive. At least it is on some days, or maybe I'm just used to it.

It was the single biggest gain on my M5 in 'driveablility'... w/ the SMG... that car was a death trap trying to merge, if you were 'up a gear' too high...

Well this made the throttlebody's open so much more aggressive, that it was a 200% increase to my car.

It was the first thing I did to my M3 as well.

Look... if you want 10 RWHP go buy a $1,000 tune... and you will get 50% of this throttle response, and 200% of it's power.

If you want great throttle response, that helps w/ Driveability, get the SprintBooster. (IMO).

It was also night and day on my 335i.

Peace,
Dave

Do you have the tech package? What mode do you usually drive in? Sport or Sport+?

I'm assuming the Sport+, as normal + booster I would guess would be somewhere around Sport+ mapping and render the booster useless.

Dave - What mode do you usually drive your M3 in? Sport+? Am I correct to say that the booster module boost the throttle mapping for each one of the modes by the same ratio? This is my assumption. Normal would become something like sport, sport more like sport+ and sport+ more like a new sport++.

All of my M Cars, I drive in M mode, from start up... (yes my M3 is tech pkg as well).

I have car in Sport+ everything turned off including DSC etc...

Michael, yes you are correct... it boosts each mode! So, just like your example... Sport+ becomes... Sport ++

And again... I want to be very clear... this is nothing for HP... it's just throttle response, and driveability IMO.

But I don't know anyone who has one, that doesn't like them.

Thanks Dave! Yes, I know it's not for HP, but throttle mapping really helps with the how the car feels. This to me is more important. In normal mode, rev matching was more difficult. Sport mode improved this, slightly, but this sounds like it will make it even better.

Absolutely Mike! I 'blip' the throttle on almost all down shifts... and match perfectly!

Once you get it... you'll be hooked!

I pushed the power button on the way home tonight. I've been driving with it off for a week or two because I got a wierd bucking action the last time I had it on. I do not understand why it is you would want to crank your gas pedal up to sport++. You must have crazy fine motor control in your foot, or just don't care if you are going WOT 100% of the time. I think I'll stick to a throttle action I can manage to modulate.
