Cars that annoy my M3

Dear Mr. Ford Focus driver,

Your car is not fast. And stop tailgating me. I'm going 15 over the limit in the slow lane. And I also see that you enjoy passing me, looking at me, and then getting in front of me in my lane, and sometimes you even slow down! That's great, but it's pretty fucking annoying. You tried to pass me on the onramp. Nice move! Your car is so much faster than mine. You are Vin fucking Diesel.

I'm gonna go ahead and name off two cars that I find especially annoying:

1. Ford Focus
2. Mitsubishi Eclipse


I'm citing these two cars because they fit into the annoying bracket I'm referring to. What is it about these cars? Is it because they are supposed to feel sporty but aren't actually good performers?

This is fucking bullshit! I've noticed it since the day I got my license, back when gas was under .99c/gallon. I wouldn't be so annoyed if these people were 16 or 18, but most people I run into on my commute who try and "prove themselves" are grown men.

Now I know what you're thinking, "just let them pass you and ignore them." I've tried this and they won't fuck off. They just run up and down the side of my car until I speed up. And then they speed up. And sometimes they think they are winning a drag race.

also the best way to piss off a tailgater
is to take your foot of the gas
and just coast till your speed starts to get lower
that pisses them off and they just overtake you

I hear you! I have had it with those fuckers. There's nothing you can do, and ignoring is not gonna work. Those kids think that changing the exhaust and a couple of bolt-on pieces on their civic makes them cool and make their car fast. A couple of times I was really pissed. I slammed on the brakes till i came to a halt and got out with my baseball bat. Then all I got was a few teenagers craping their pants saying that they'er sorry.

ALL 4 door American Cars! Especially if the car is older than 5 years.. kills me! Any car that resembles a Crown Vic. I want to give them the chrome horn!

As I overtake, they inexplicably decide to change lanes from the slow lane to the fast lane. It appears to be random. In fact, I call it the random lane change.

They don't look.
They aren't passing anyone.
Random.

Then there is the tour bus. Oh, yes, the tour bus. It doesn't matter what speed they are traveling at. They just plant that big ass boat in the left lane and stay there. No amount of light flashing or horn honking will generate a response. They are rolling road blocks. They don't speed up. They don't slow down. If you pass them, and then slow down to annoy them, they will run into you. The drivers are unconscious.

Try it sometime. Get in front of one of these road hogs and then slow to about 1mph slower than they are going. See how close that behemoth gets before you lose your nerve and speed up. You won't even be able to see its windshield through your mirror; just a big wall of fiberglas.

This morning I was picturing a great road sign in my head while someone was sitting in the left lane going .0005mph faster than the car next to them...

"If you aren't planning on driving faster than everyone else, please stay in the right lane."

It wouldn't keep everyone out of the passing lane, but it would definitely reserve the lane for people who speed or are in a hurry.

Wouldn't help. We have signs all over the left side of our highways in Texas stating that the left lane is for passing only. Problem is, half of the drivers in our state don't speak English, and the other half just don't care. My wife and I constantly joke that more often than not, the far right lane is clear, while the left lane is completely clogged.
