Loving the detour lol. Sounds really throaty and clean. You got the full AA system? Catless?

I just have the back section. No x pipes or anything else. And yes, I do need a better camera mount than the tow hook.

how does the sound in person compare to the video??

Is it that high pitched and delicious sounding??
Does it drone??
Is it subtle around town?
is this the Sport or Race?

Thanks!!

The AA sounds amazing, but it does drone really bad in town, especially if you have M-DCT. I used to have AA, but i couldn't live with it as a daily driver

Wow. I wonder if DCT makes that much difference. I've owned the AA Signature Exhaust for around a year and I don't think its loud at all. It's a tad loud during morning cold starts. But unless you have the X Pipe, which I plan on getting, because I need a lil more power and volume, I don't see how anyone could think its too loud. It's only a tad louder than the factory pipes.I think it's how the car should've come from the factory. I think AA did a great job with this exhaust, the only downside, is its relatively heavy, and quite pricey to be stainless steel.

To caveat on what Chris is saying, it actually gets toned down with the software. Once I got software, the cold start rumble went down a bit and doesn't drone as bad. Its just right....just need the X-pipe now for the F1 pitch.

Wow, good reproduction! That's exactly what it sounded like in mine with the top down before the Powerchip tune. Now it's smoother and even better.

With the 6mt you can keep it out of the very narrow rev range where it drones a little: 2,000 - 2,400.

The car sounds like a ferrari on the outside. Inside it, I drive with the windows down to fully enjoy it. Between 1500 and 2500 rpm, the booming sound is noticable. Especially with the windows rolled up. I think driving with a convertible or windows down is best. Other wise, don't let it fall in that rpm range. Driving normally, the sound is perfect since it only hints at the roars that come when you step on it.

As far as I know, this is the only rear section for AA so no diference between sport or race.

So you would recomend the AA software to soften the bass at 2000 rpm? I was thinking about doing so. I love the way the car sounds as it revs so if software can reduce the small bass at low rev right now than it would be perfect.

That shows how prone to drone these cars are, since AA is one of the few with Helmholtz (anti-resonance) chambers.

Wish somebody could hook up that same camera to a stock car, to see how it sounds. I bet it sounds pretty good too. Good day.

I would do software, but would wait until you add all performance mods, like pulleys and or x-pipe. This will take full advantage with the software from AA. I did software and pulleys at the same time and it was a big difference to me.

The software alone eliminates, but also its also not as loud as when you put the exhaust on. I waiting to see what happens, hopefully I'll be testing an x-pipe soon and if its not what I'm looking for I'll go for the AA x-pipe and stubbies, I wanna keep the OEM cats. But we'll see, just that the AA are a little expensive right now.
