I'd hate to see us get kicked out of the venue like Charlotte C&C, but looks like that's where it's headed. There are now C&C events throughout the ConUS and Europe and the spirit of these event has always been a free enthusiast gathering. Venues are happy to work with these groups since they get exposure and customers in return. That said, they're not going to tolerate idiots at every event. I'd hate to see these become fully or partially commercialized in order to pay for security/etc, but as they grow I don't know a way around it (other than maybe having each of the clubs volunteer to chip in).

I'm sorry to hear this. My only suggestion would be to reach out to the guy (Michael) that runs the Charlotte C&C. He was able to reinstate the C&C event in Charlotte following that unfortunate accident back in February and may be able to help with some ideas on how to get things back on track. I don't have his contact info, but he posts under the same SN (MC36) on multiple forums. Here's a link to one of them:

Looks like they're following up with property management. Hopefully they can get a system worked out.
