gold rims on melbourne e93

Has anyone done this that has pictures?

I think it would look pretty awesome, but I was curious if anyone else had done this already and has some pictures I could see.

Also -- are there even options to powder coat the OEM 19's to gold? Or would it be better just to get some BBS or 360 forged ones?

Synter on this board just got some goldish/bronzish 20" wheels on his Melbourne E92. I'm sure any competent powdercoating shop could powdercoat your OEM wheels, but I would go with some aftermarket wheels.

Here are two sloppy chops to give you an idea of the color combo. These are VMR VB3s powdercoated in our Competition Gold color.

I really love the red/gold combo, and did it on the Kodiaks for my Lotus. Not that it's terribly relevant to this thread, but . . .

I would go with some aftermarket wheels too, especially when you are looking for color like gold

Here is quick photoshop of ISS FM10 in gold finish on IND Red Death

Gold on red is sick as long as the shades of both colors are on. Gold on white and black also rock well but you need the right shades.

Exactly the way I feel about the blacked-out look. It's so uh, well, juvenile.

LOL, they'll be back soon, and people will be putting up "barf emoticons" at all those retro black-out wheels, every one just had to do in the late 00's.

How about bronze?

I agree -- I'll probably go aftermarket.

Gold and red don't go well together. Run away from it.

Italians would disagree with you. But this is a totally different shade of red. it's all in the shades from what I can tell... getting it right would be tough I would imagine.

i think the gold would go well with MR.
Because the color has hints of orange in there and i think it would look well together.

The chop on the red death e90 is awesome! Looks legit!

Something wrong with my wheels Foosh?
They are not completely blacked out... red pinstripe and metal centre cap.
I didnt mean to offend, its just not my cup of tea!
