If not mistaken, you need a tune/code to turn CEL off as well as maximise the gains from cat delete. If not what's the point of deleting the cats. A tune will complement the process.

For sound and half the gains.

Cat delete will add power with no other changes, as will higher octane gas (to a point). Stock ECU is very capable and with full time WB02 and knock sensing through each plug, can take pretty good advantage of mods. Testpipes are the greatest bang for the buck. I think you will gain more power from either test pipes or higher octane than from a tune. The tunes show pretty small gains, but as noted above, do "bring it together."

Pretty much worth it on that point alone, plus some dyno measured gains on paper.

We have a combo special with the ESS Tune and MS test pipes which most are running, I'll get you over a PM shortly.

I plan to run mine without a tune. Will do the install soon. I will run rear O2 spacers, so the cell comes on only after 4K miles. Once it comes on I'll read it and delete it. Should also pass emissions testing.

Not sure just that is an option. Not enough money in it for the tuners. Might as well buy a full tune and get its benefits plus other coding options like software update, cold start delete, maybe raised rpm limiter, maybe speed limiter delete.

there is a guy in Chicago who is running test pipes and akra-delete and has no codes. Plenty of package deals from Evolve to ESS. I would go with a tune as the car is a different machine with it
