Dropping f$&%# screw in the engine.

10 minute job changing the engine filter turned into forever! Dropped the #20 Torx screw for the filter housing and can't seem to find it. Ended up removing the whole filter casing to make it more easier looking around to no avail. Grrr... Any suggestion where I could find such screw? I know it's just. 1 screw but I'm kinda OCD when I know one screw is missing. Thanks guys.

It could be laying on the bottom engine cover plate? You might have to remove the plate and see if it is there.

that would be my thought also. probably just fall out if you remove plate.

It is quite easy to drop stuff under there. I dropped a socket when I was lowering a friend's M3. Pain in the ass though to get that back.

Yeah I've been magnetizing all smallest spaces that I could to no avail. I have up on it lol.

Good luck! The undertrays for this car are like black holes and removal is a pain.
