Very impressive, So does this mean they will also have a kit for the M5/M6 V10? Since the V8 is essentially the same as the V10 in the M5/M6?

The kits for the M5 and M6 are on the market since a year. You can go up to 730 bhp, but it is very expensive.

Who here think an extra 150~200hp driving solely the rear wheels is a bad idea on the public road. The M3 was not designed to cope with this much of an increase.

You may have something that is quicker than anyone else but it will be a flawed diamond at best and a death trap to the inexperience at worst. Not something I would recommend to anyone.

It's not like you would really need it on a track, either. On a good curvy track, power doesn't mean a whole lot at all. However, I wouldn't turn down an extra 150whp if it was offered to me. It would make things more fun at the very least.

I can assure you the driveability of the SC M3 is close to perfect. The car handles the extra power without any problems. I'll make sure I'll post a test drive here once the German journalist got their hands on one. 550bhp is no problem at all. Even Hartge who built the 3 series with the M5 engine/tranny has no issues with the same power. The M5 Hurricane with 730 bhp has been tested and in every aspect it's much faster than the standard M5. You can search a clip of it on youtube.

I'd be very interested to take a car like that for a drive. I'm not sure that the power would be excessive, but I wonder how it would do with a bunch of weight reduction.

223 mph with a lip spoiler? I wouldn't go that fast without an F1 spoiler on the trunk. (The old, bigger, ones before they changed the regs a few years ago.) Maybe I'm soft.

The picture of the M3 is the prototype car. The final production SC and all will look much neater.
