Want to Buy 1 full-size wheel/tire set to serve as a roadtrip spare (SF/Seattle).
Leaving Sunday on a ca to wa road trip and would like to buy an extra tire -- travelling with a 3 month old and thus want to minimize the risk of being stranded. Dealer today quoted me 1400 for one 19" tire. Ridiculous. Anyone between San Francisco and Seattle have or know where i can pick up one 18 or 19 wheel/tire in the next two weeks? Thanks Peter

I have an OEM 19 with a Pilot Sport tire. I believe it's a rear and i would have to measure the tread depth.
Purchased for the same reason as you, but now that i have two set of rims, it's unnecessary. Obviously it would have to be shipped, I'm in NY. PM me if you have interest.

Would not need to get one potential "front spare" and one "rear spare"? The rims are both 19 inch, but the tires are different from front to rear.

With the assumption that someone will (hopefully) correct me if I'm wrong, my search of the forums seems to indicate a front wheel can fit on the back. It'll look (and drive?) weird given the staggered setup, but should work in a pinch.

I believe you are correct, my fronts are 19x9 and rears are 19x9.5. If I had to, I can use my spare front for the rear for the short term. I have a spare front just for this reason as well.

i would just buy the cheapest 19" wheel that fits and the cheapest tire.. high odds you'll never have to use them, and if you do, it'll just effect the handling but will operate fine under normal driving
